CHILDREN ACCOMPANYING PARENTS TO PRISON

The scene in Malawi prisons is heart wrenching. The concept of a speedy trial is unknown in Malawi, as the judicial system is completely backlogged. Those living within the walls of the prisons suffer with malnutrition and overcrowding. Inmates are sleeping on concrete floors, often without a blanket. Mixed in among the women you find the precious little faces of young children. These children, left without a caregiver, accompany their mother to prison.

Extraordinary doors have opened to minister in the prison system, bringing the Gospel, meeting needs through compassion acts, and advocating for children living within prison walls.  We provide food, clothing, hygiene items, medicine and more.

"And the King will answer and say to them, "Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me." Matthew 25:40
